So, I’m really starting to enjoy this whole blogger thing.
As I was exploring the world of blogging, I noticed how many opportunities there are for people to represent themselves. There are food bloggers, comedy bloggers, philosophy bloggers, political bloggers, athlete bloggers, even cat bloggers (I don’t know why I wrote ‘even,’ that’s not surprising at all). So then I’m like, “Hey, man, what am I?” Well, obviously an athlete blogger, but I’ve never much liked sticking to one clique. Wouldn’t want to get typecasted (see what I did there?)
So then I thought, “hey, what about fashion blogging?” No one I know had done it in Nordic skiing, the sport that saw the spandexy dayglow colors trend coming from literally decades away. It could be perfect, I can combine my wandering eye with a little commentary, while taking on that air of authority to which I have become so accustomed.
Now you may be thinking, “What the heck gives Annie Pokorny the right to be a fashion blogger?” Well, miss priss, before I even do any blogging on Nordic fashion I’m going to prove my prowess to you. Right here, right now, with this simple phrase:
I wore Fischer boots before it was cool.
Everyone seems to be switching over now. I, along with a few of my buddies, saw the value in their sharp design and functional fit early. I won’t go as far as to say trend setter, but, the proof is in the photos:
Ok I think I’ve proven my point. If you don’t think so, stay tuned, I’ll work to wow you with my Nordic fashion (NOT an oxymoron).
-AP, fashion blogger.
